A Troubling Spectacle
On April 26, 2025, I tuned into Pope Francis’ funeral, to check it out and see who was there. Instead, I felt a sickening unease. With 250,000 mourners in St. Peter’s Square, world leaders in attendance, and priests chanting in Latin, the event exalted a man called “Holy Father” above Christ.

A False Claim Exposed
On April 26, 2025, I watched 5 minutes of Pope Francis’ funeral, expecting reverence for God. Instead, 250,000 mourners honoured a man called “Holy Father” with rituals far from Scripture.
Scripture: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”, Ephesians 6:10-11 (NKJV)

Growing up in the Free Church of Scotland, known as the “Wee Frees,” I was steeped in a faith that felt more like rules than relationship. Strict Sabbath-keeping, distrust of anything Catholic, and a legalistic lens shaped my early years in Scotland.

A Win for God’s Plan
On April 16, 2025, Susan Smith and Marion Calder, the brilliant ladies behind "For Women Scotland", were all smiles outside the UK Supreme Court. They’d just won a cracking ruling that says “woman” and “sex” mean biological females in the Equality Act 2010.
