Well folks, we’ve been quiet for a week, and there’s a good reason for it.
We just got back from the Keswick Convention up in the Lake District. The theme this year was “Strong in His Strength,” and I tell you, you could really feel that in the atmosphere. Not a lot of noise or hype, just a whole lot of hungry hearts sitting under the Word of God.

Today I noticed on Facebook a local newspaper near me ran an article about our West Dunbartonshire MP Douglas McAllister supporting a ban on trade with Israeli settlements.
The newspaper piece used strong words like “illegal,” “stolen land,” “proceeds of crime,” and even “apartheid.”
As a follower of Jesus who loves the Word of God, I found myself troubled. Not because I want to argue politics, but because the article only told one side of the story.

Alcohol is everywhere in our culture today, especially here in Scotland. Many of us have known its grip firsthand.
I’ve talked with so many people over the years who started with what seemed like an innocent escape, only to find themselves in bondage.

We live in days when the world seems to be falling apart. Wars, confusion, and trouble are all around us. But the Bible gives us a different picture. The world is not spinning out of control. It is moving exactly according to God’s perfect plan.
As we watch the 2026 World Cup, it does my heart good to see how the Lord can use even the game of football to remind us of His truth.
In a world that often forgets God, we’re seeing little glimpses of His light breaking through on the pitch.
