As an eager 11-year-old in Scotland back in 1984, I felt a nudge from God to pray for Ethiopia’s famine and the rescue of its people in Israel. Having just started my faith journey at the age of seven, I was captivated by Blue Peter’s appeal, which showed trucks trapped in Ethiopia’s mud and shared the story of Operation Moses airlifting Ethiopian Jews.

Last night I was watching away on Amir Tsarfati’s Telegram, my eyes glued to the screen in the wee hours, feeling the weight of what’s happening in Israel. It’s got me thinking of Psalm 83, with nations ganging up on God’s people. As folks with a heart for the Lord and Israel, let’s dive into this story, see what’s what, and pray hard, deeply.

In the UK and Glasgow’s streets over the last couple of years, I have heard chants of “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” When I ask protesters about which river or sea they mean, many appear clueless, revealing ignorance behind this divisive slogan.

On May 14, 2025, Tzeela Gez, 30, was tragically murdered in a terror attack on Highway 446 in Samaria. She was on her way to give birth when terrorists shot at her car. Pastor Brandon Holthaus, in his recent Tip of the Spear YouTube Short. He powerfully debunks the “woke media” lie that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, this is a false narrative that I’ve seen comments on social media that really gets me angry. They are buying into the false news that distorts the truth about Israel’s lawful defense against Hamas, a terrorist group responsible for the October 7, 2023, attack killing 1,218 Israelis.
