Growing up in the Free Church of Scotland, known as the “Wee Frees,” I was steeped in a faith that felt more like rules than relationship. Strict Sabbath-keeping, distrust of anything Catholic, and a legalistic lens shaped my early years in Scotland.

A Win for God’s Plan

On April 16, 2025, Susan Smith and Marion Calder, the brilliant ladies behind "For Women Scotland", were all smiles outside the UK Supreme Court. They’d just won a cracking ruling that says “woman” and “sex” mean biological females in the Equality Act 2010.

I’ve been wrestling with questions about John and Lisa Bevere’s teachings. I have always been taught to test everything by Scripture (1 Thess. 5:21), and I was surprised to hear concerns raised by discernment ministries like LongforTruth1 and Mike Winger.

Here at Born Again Christians, our hearts are set on following Jesus and to anchor our faith in His Word. Scripture urges us to test all teachings with discernment (1 John 4:1), seeking truth with humility and love.
