The alt or alternative Jesus

We got tagged on twitter with a lady holding a banner with alternative views, on what Jesus would have said if he lived on earth today in 2019. But I think from looking online, the banner is part of a protest on Christians who are on the far right and follow President Donald Trump.

Our ministry is based in the UK with not many followers form the USA but we get visits from people in the Philippines. So I am not sure why it is directed at us? I would ask on twitter, but I am not in the mood for debate or arguments.

So the list aimed at far right Christians, seem scripturally but are sarcastically twisted.

Fear everyone…  But Jesus says – Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Expel the stranger… But Jesus says – Matthew 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in

Blame the poor… But Jesus says – Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Ignore the sick… But Jesus says – Matthew 10:8 But Jesus says Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Feed the rich… But Jesus says – Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Love only thyself… But Jesus says – Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Trust only Caesar…But Jesus says – Matthew 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

Throw lots of Stones…But Jesus says – John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

So here at Born Again Christians, I hope were are not too right-wing which I think means conservative theology or that we are left-wing which is liberal theology. I hope we are right in the middle being Fundamental and Expository and preach a literal interpretation of the Bible.

We aren’t either Calvinist or Arminian we are right in the middle like a see-saw, as you will see from the material we post on the website.
